During the program Al Aire, which broadcasts Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), historian Henry Navas emphasized that the People have a character of anti-imperialist resistance because they belong to a historic feat such as the one that fought in the Battle of Carabobo 203 years ago.

“We have resisted attacks by the United States, because we have had that past that has spilled over on us, because we are the heirs of that emancipatory effort of 203 years ago of the Battle of Carabobo and those who were and fought there,” he said.

In this regard, he emphasized that the enemies of the homeland do not understand that Venezuela has an emancipatory historical character and that is why the current attacks have been defeated because of that conscience and memory that the people have.

“Memory is a trench in the face of the media to defend our position and our thinking, and the right to defend what we are. The enemies of Venezuela today have failed to understand what military doctrine is, nor does Venezuela, and that is why they have not defeated us nor will they defeat us; we have resisted,” he stressed.
