The President of the
Republic, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute, through his Telegram channel, to the eldest cimarron,
Aristobulo Isturiz, who was turning 78.
“The
Bolivarian Revolution found in you, a leader, with great capacity for work, love,
disposition and extraordinary discipline,” wrote the head of state.
He also indicated that the “enemies of the Fatherland often underestimated him
because he was of the People, a humble school teacher, “the black one” Aristobulus with
a height of thought who understood the need to travel the country to
bring the word of encouragement, optimism in favor of solving problems”.
In addition, he pointed out that he was a “grassroots militant, defender of the rights of the working
class and its guild, being absolutely loyal to the cause of the People,
which was that of Commander Chávez.”
