This Monday, the replacement of collectors began simultaneously in the Amparo and November 14 sectors, belonging to the Raúl Leoni parish of the Maracaibo municipality, as part of the Comprehensive Wastewater Care Plan of the state of Zulia.
The project involves the replacement of 256 linear meters of pipe to directly benefit families in both communities. Specifically, the work includes the installation of 120 meters of collector in the Amparo Corridor and 136 meters in the 14 de Noviembre neighborhood, in a coordinated effort between HIDROVEN, the Government of Zulia and the Maracaibo Mayor's Office.
The deployment was attended by Governor Luis Caldera, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Popular Water Management, Jhon Alonso, and the territorial manager of HIDROVEN in the entity, Miguel Perozo.
The authorities projected that by the end of the year 2026, 502 collectors will be replaced in the region, extending attention to the parishes of Caracciolo Parra Pérez, Idelfonso Vásquez and Antonio Borjas Romero, in addition to reactivating pumping stations and treatment plants in Cabimas and in the southern area of Maracaibo.
