The Shiite group Hezbollah carried out massive air strikes against several territories in northern Israel, reports the Al Mayadeen channel.

Israeli media described the attack as “the biggest since Lebanon”, and sirens warning of rockets sounded in 76 locations in northern Israel.

“Huge fires near the city of Nazareth, after the impact of a Hezbollah rocket,” they say.

For his part, on the Russia Today website, his correspondent Saed Swerki, reported that among the missiles launched there were six 330 mm Fajr rockets, used for the first time since the beginning of the war.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), about 10 projectiles were launched from Lebanon at areas of northern Israel.

The Army says that most of the rockets launched from Lebanon were intercepted by air defenses.

It is also reported that a direct impact caused a fire in Nazareth, while the Afula region is currently suffering from power cuts.

The Shiite group also noted that explosions occurred at the Israeli airbase of Ramat David and published images of smoke allegedly coming from the site of the attack.
