In two dimensions, work must be done to consolidate the University of the Communes, a project relaunched this Monday by President Nicolás Maduro, considered the vice-president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez.
The first, he said, is “the formation proper to community work”, based on the systematization of the experiences that already exist in terms of “being a community member”.
“There are the most consolidated, most advanced communes, each with its own dynamics, its own experience. I think that this experience should be systematized and shared with other communes that could not be so advanced, or with communal circuits,” he explained during the Con Maduro+ program, led by the Head of State.
As for the second dimension, the Minister of Education also said that after this “systematization”, the University of the Communes should “interact” with the other careers that are merited for the commune's development plan being carried out by the national government.
To this end, according to the education portfolio in a press release, he recommended taking advantage of all the country's academic offer, which “despite the economic difficulties generated by the blockade”, continues to train “free of charge in all municipalities of the country”.
“I think that if we cross those two matrices, President, we can take advantage of everything that the Revolution has created, its infrastructure, its teaching staff, its budget -which is scarce, we have no extra resources- and create a dynamic that also shapes -which I think is what we lack- the community member, the one who will lead the commune,” he stressed.
