More than 90 percent of the country's schools are keeping their schedule, Monday through Friday, said Education Minister Héctor Rodríguez during a visit to the Simón Rodríguez Ecological School in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas.
In this regard, according to a press release from the Education portfolio, Rodríguez asked teachers and principals not to intervene in school dynamics by taking boys out of the classroom.
“We must fight the class schedule, because it is the content of the boys and it is the third objective proposed, that the students have all their teachers and their full schedule,” he emphasized.
The minister reiterated that Venezuela is experiencing difficulties as a result of the pandemic and the blockade imposed by the United States, and that has been reflected in high schools and schools across the country; however, he pointed out that education cannot be stopped and everyone involved must give priority to students.
On the other hand, he said that the National Government, from the educational office, will continue to work to improve the material and social conditions of teachers.
In this regard, he reported that about 50,000 surgical interventions have already been performed on teachers since the beginning of the special eight-dimensional social care plan.
