Héctor Rodríguez: 200 schools were rehabilitated between January and February

In the months of January and February 2025, 200 schools were rehabilitated across the country, the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez.

During the delivery of the recently rehabilitated Antonio José de Sucre Educational Complex, in the Sucre municipality of Caracas, Rodríguez indicated that the authorities expect to recover another 100 schools during the month of March.

According to a press release from the Education portfolio, the renovation work of the aforementioned institution was accompanied by the Military Community Brigades for Health and Education (BRICOMILES) and the Bolivarian Government.

The head of Education called on the entire educational community of the complex to pay attention and to make a collective effort to recover education in various ways: infrastructure, school enrollment, full schedule, teacher training in specializations, organizing programs and levels of management.

For her part, Mayor Carmen Meléndez indicated that the renovation of this school included waterproofing, adaptation of classrooms, repair of the courts and the kitchen. “It was an integral job, desks were repaired, the bathrooms were fixed, it was everyone's job; now it's time to continue the maintenance.”
