Heat wave leaves at least 48 dead in Mexico

The Ministry of Health of Mexico reported that at least 48 people have died due to the heat wave that registered more than 45 degrees Celsius in the Aztec country.

 

In this regard, the health agency explained that so far 956 cases have been linked to temperatures in the regions of Tabasco, Veracruz, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

 

“An anticyclonic circulation at medium levels of the atmosphere will maintain the third heat wave in Mexico,” the ministry warned, while reporting cases of burns and dehydration.
