The Ministry of Health of Mexico reported
that at least 48 people have died due to the heat wave that registered
more than 45 degrees Celsius in the Aztec country.
In this regard, the health agency
explained that so far 956 cases have been linked to temperatures in the
regions of Tabasco, Veracruz, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
“An anticyclonic circulation at medium
levels of the atmosphere will maintain the third heat wave in
Mexico,” the ministry warned, while reporting cases of burns and dehydration.
According to what was published by the Xinhua
website, the specialists recommended that the population avoid exposure
to the sun, take breaks between daily activities on the street and called on people who exercise outdoors to take precautions.
