Head of State: We will continue to promote policies to protect all sectors of the country

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said that the Bolivarian Government promotes and will continue to develop social policies aimed at protecting both the elderly sector of the population and the entire Venezuelan people.
In this regard, during a telephone contact with the Telesur television station, he specified that it is essential to protect public education, health, food through the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), as well as other areas for their well-being.
He pointed out that it is also key to guarantee the people citizen security throughout the national territory, as well as comprehensive social rights in a progressive manner.
“To the forerunner, foundational generation, that is, we, what some people call: adults and older adults, grandparents and grandmothers, we always have them waiting, guaranteeing their medicines and caring for them with the bonds of the Fatherland,” he said.
He considered that “of course more needs to be done and that is why it is the Great Mission of the new generation of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland and it will be integral to social care”.
