Head of State: We are making progress and updating the combat capacity of the FANB

This Friday, May 3rd, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, supervised a series of military exercises carried out in El Pao, in the state of Cojedes, called “The Essequibo is Ours”.

Upon his arrival, the Head of State greeted the members of the Military High Command present, who offered him a detailed account of the actions taken.

“With this sun in front of us, from this Cojedeña land, here in El PAO, I send greetings to our glorious and powerful Bolivarian National Armed Forces and, in particular, to the Bolivarian Military University, founded by our Commander Hugo Chávez (...) Go out to the 12 military academies, to all the cadets and officers. We have come to see these exercises that have been going on for several days now,” he said.

In that vein, President Maduro added that “we are advancing and updating the combative capacity of an armed force that has guaranteed peace, independence, territorial integrity and that is prepared to win again in any scenario along the path of peace, territorial integrity and perfect civic-military union.”
