The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that there are sectors of the town of Cumanacoa that completely disappeared after the onslaught of rains a week ago after the passage of hurricane Beryl.

He explained that through the Special Emergency Fund, one million dollars are contemplated for the national government to finance economic sectors in Cumanacoa. The instruction for compliance with such a measure was immediately assigned by the Head of State.

“Today we activated a Special Emergency Fund, it has already deposited 1 million dollars (...) I have given the order that it be express, immediate, without bureaucracy,” he said.

In that vein, he said that the shipment of basic necessities for affected families and the days of deep cleaning in streets and homes are continuing. “We are going to build homes for everyone who lost them 100%,” he said.
