The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated, from the Botanical Garden, together with the Revolutionary People, 20 years of the anti-imperialist declaration of Venezuela, made by Commander Hugo Chávez.

Accompanied by a sea of people, the Head of State thanked the people for their commitment, who “have once again flooded the streets with their anti-imperialist passion, with their Bolivarian passion from north to south, from east to west”.

The President emphasized that leap years are of luck and victory for the Revolution, and recalled the triumphs achieved in 1992, with the rise of Commander Chávez; the great victory of the elections in 2000, after the constituent elections; and the recall referendum of 2004.

He also recalled the year 2008, “when we swept the elections of governors and mayors; it was a leap year in 2012 when our Commander Chávez won the great presidential victory on October 7 to say goodbye to this life undefeated. It was a leap year of resistance and recovery in 2016; it was a leap year that we successfully faced the 2020 pandemic and this year 2024, leap year, let's prepare to win the elections.”
