Ahead of the celebration of the National Popular Consultation next Sunday, October 18, this Friday, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed that the national budget is decided based on the needs of the country's communities.
“It's not in an office. The participatory budget, the national budget, is made by the communities,” emphasized the president from the Mission Base in the Villa Zoila de la Cota 905 Commune, Santa Rosalía parish in Caracas.
He noted that the budget presented to the National Assembly for the next fiscal year is “based on the participation of communes, community organizations (...) everyone participates precisely to decide where these resources are going to be invested. I think it's an extraordinary step forward in this phase of Venezuela,” he said.
In this regard, he urged the Venezuelan people to preserve these resources and put them to good use. “There is a choice in Venezuela. This Sunday, October 18, the organized people come out to choose for their projects that have to do with the community,” he said.
