The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the XLVIII National Fair of Cebu and its Crosses, held in Simon Bolivar Park, in La Carlota, highlighted the growth of 6.33% in 2024 of the national herd of standing cattle.
“The national herd is home to 14 million head of cattle, currently 1.5 million cattle are slaughtered for domestic consumption, so we have to grow more and give birth with quality to increase the number of standing cattle. Milk production has also reached three million 500 thousand liters per day, which is a good pace but this increase in quality can and is needed to be ready to export,” said the national president.
He also ratified the great support that the Bolivarian Government is giving to the sector. The country is currently experiencing great growth with export capacity, with zebu being of high quality.
With the flag of bringing the countryside to the cities, this livestock fair also aims to generate commercial exchange, after installation; followed by Thursday when the competitions of the different breeds on display begin, continuing with various events related to the fair on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
