The national president, Nicolás Maduro, supported the complaint made by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, in which he revealed the contact between paramilitary groups in Maicao (Colombia), with sectors of the Venezuelan opposition to attack the Zulia Electricity System.

“Evidence is appearing to contact a thousand paramilitaries, and they made the complaint themselves, the certified account of that group and the Paramilitary Chief says they offered him money and other things to come and attack Venezuela,” he said.

He added the statement released today by former Paramilitary Chief Salvatore Mancuso, who confirmed that in Colombia offers were received from Venezuela for magnicidal and coup plans against the Bolivarian Revolution, from representatives of the opposition together with local economic groups.

Today Salvatore Mancuso appeared, lieutenant of the Castaño brothers, (Fidel, Carlos and Vicente) who founded the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia, a terrorist group linked to Álvaro Uribe Vélez, former president of Colombia (...) and revealed names including several representatives of the opposition such as Henrique Capriles, Oswaldo Álvarez Paz, Zingg and Machado, among other far-right spokespersons.”
