The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified this Wednesday his support for the National Assembly's call for a broad dialogue with all sectors of the country to define the electoral schedule, ahead of this year's presidential elections, as established by the Constitution.

“It is a cross-cutting dialogue in terms of respect, equality, an inclusive dialogue (...) all social sectors, ordinary people, all social movements, all cultural and intellectual sectors are called together. Thinkers, writers of the country, all the political forces, movements, parties, all the political leadership of the country, of all the parties, all the economic sectors, because we have to do a great consultation and make a great decision in several hands,” said the head of state.

In this regard, during his participation in the Solemn Opening Session of the Judicial Year 2024, the Dignitary indicated that the Parliament is the epicenter of this national dialogue “and I subordinate myself to the proposals and decisions that arise from this dialogue convened by the National Assembly to establish the electoral schedule”.
