During a visit to the pharmaceutical industrial plant of
Grupo Leti, located in Guarenas, Miranda, as part of the national deployment
for the Productive Renaissance, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Delcy Rodríguez, ratified this Thursday the Executive's commitment to
reducing dependence on imports into the country.
“We are on the right path, which is to reduce our
dependence on imports, and we have already seen that we reduced
imports by 31%, in imported products, but we increased the import of
raw materials, in this case, the molecules that are needed for the production
of drugs in the country,” said the president.
In this regard, he reiterated that we must follow the route of “supplying
Venezuela with full supply in our country, but also activating the export
engine that allows the creation of jobs, that allows the generation of
foreign exchange for Venezuela and that what is done in Venezuela crosses borders with extraordinary quality.”
