The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, signed the book of condolences at the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Venezuela, and ratified all the solidarity and support to the Iranian people and expressed the hope that the legacy of President Ebrahim Raisi will be light and guide for the peace and well-being of the sister nation.

The head of state highlighted “the level of relationship never before known between Iran and Venezuela, of deep integration, thinking about the shared development of both peoples.”

In a contact through Venezolana de Televisión, it became known that prior to the signing of the book of condolences, the Venezuelan ruler participated in the Du'a Kumail Prayer. At the end of his participation in the tribute ceremony to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Head of State confirmed that Caracas and Tehran remain united “in values, in struggles” and in the consolidation of a virtuous alliance for shared development.

He explained that, precisely, delegations from both nations were already planning preparatory meetings on the eve of the second visit of President Ebrahim Raisi to Venezuela, who expressed his desire to return in the month of September in the context of his presence at the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

“He had already sent me to let me know that he wanted to go through Venezuela again so that we could continue building, weaving the deep relationships of shared development between Iran and Venezuela,” he added.

On the other hand, in extending his words of encouragement to the Iranian people, President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed that Iran and Venezuela are “courageous, anti-imperialist” and “two peoples that are standing, who demonstrate in practice what is the profound dialogue of cultures, civilizations and religions”.
