Head of State ordered the creation of a research center for ancient medicine in Amazonas

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the installation of a Scientific Research Center for traditional and ancient medicine in the state of Amazonas.

During the inauguration of spaces at the José María Vargas Popular Clinic in the Amazonian entity, he highlighted the importance of ancient medicine “because in the Amazon there are the secrets to the cure of all diseases”.

In this regard, he stressed that many scientists from Japan and Europe have come to the country, specifically to this territory, to take the knowledge of medicine from the native peoples.

“We don't have a center for scientific research and the production of applied drugs in the Amazon, we have to found one,” he said.
