Head of State: Neither betrayal nor pressure have been able to break the loyalty of the People and the FANB

The President of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised this Friday
the unwavering loyalty of the People and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces
(FANB), commemorating 4 years since the defeat of one of the
imperial attempts to disturb the Peace and violate the sovereignty of the Homeland, as was Operation Gideon.
“We honor
our ever saving civic-military union that four years ago defeated another terrorist
aggression against Peace and Sovereignty. Neither betrayal nor pressure
have been able to break the loyalty of the People and the FANB, we remain firm,
defending the integrity of the Fatherland,” said the head of state through his account on the
social network X.
In another publication,
the President recalled that on May 3, 2002, “the
Joint Operation Black First, in a civic-military-police union, crushed a
group of mercenaries and terrorists who tried to invade Venezuela with the
objective of ending my life.”
He pointed out that,
then, “the people did not leave them and went out to defend the territory in
Playa Pto. Cruz, ensuring national peace of mind. Venezuela is a territory
of peace!” In his message, he shared a video with the testimony of one of the
fishermen who were the protagonists of the heroic feat.
