The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, mourned this Tuesday the death of the rescue dog of the Spanish Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) IAE (Intervention, Aid and Emergencies), Quino, who was actively present in the search work after the earthquakes of last June 24 in the country.

“Thank you, Quino! You were with us in the most difficult hours, looking for life and hope in the rubble,” said the president in a message posted on her social networks.

In this sense, he exalted the courage and dedication of the canine during his work in La Guaira. “Your mark will remain forever in our hearts,” he emphasized.

Quino participated in missions in Venezuela, Türkiye, Morocco and Brazil. This week he died at the age of 5 in Valencia, two months after starting to suffer bleeding whose origin was never fully clarified and after irreversible renal failure.
