The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed this Monday that the Homeland of the Liberator Simon Bolivar is used to fighting and no one will take away the opportunity for the country to be part of the new world that was born with the BRICS.

“It's stupid to think that they can veto Venezuela's right to belong to the new world, to be free, to be sovereign, to build its arms. That already exists and it didn't start yesterday, it didn't start in Kazan, it started many years ago, that's why I said we belonged to the BRICS 200 years ago,” said the Head of State during the new broadcast of his Con Maduro+ program, referring to Brazil's veto for the nation to join the economic bloc.

In this regard, he pointed out that no one gave Venezuela independence. “The most difficult independence in human history was in Venezuela, it was the liberating armies of South America, so we are used to the permanent struggle, to the permanent battle,” he emphasized.
