The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that within six years the country will have two million more homes for the people.

From the town of Guatire in Miranda state, the Head of State assured that the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV) will continue to work to provide a better quality of life to Venezuelans, without any distinction or preference.

“We are going to seven million homes for the working class, for the youth, for the people who need it, for the people I find on the streets,” he said.

In that vein, he said that “we already have the calculations, the studies for the next 6 years we are going to build 2 million more homes for our people. We are going to 7 million in 2030, rest assured,” he pointed out, instructing that, in the measures of possibilities, new buildings result from the process “of self-construction of Venezuelans themselves”.

The first national president recalled that it was Commander Hugo Chávez who began massive housing construction in 2012. From that year to 2019, three million homes were built. And that between 2019 and 2025, two million more homes were projected whose construction will be completed next week.
