Head of State: GMVB has rehabilitated 3,565 churches across the country

The Head of State, Nicolás Maduro reported that to date 3,565 churches have been rehabilitated across the country through the Great Venezuela Bella Mission (GMVB). From his Con Maduro+ program, the first National President detailed

President Maduro explained that 2,815 are Christian - evangelical churches and 750 are Catholic Christians. “I approved the equivalent of 5 million 916 thousand 245 euros to be invested with the GMVB in Catholic and Evangelical churches. The talk is there!” , he specified.

After his visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in Chiquinquirá, located in the state of Zulia, the Head of State approved the execution of works corresponding to the second and third stages of recovery. In this regard, the parish priest of the Basilica, Nedward Andrade, explained that the rehabilitation work will be aimed at restoring the paintings arranged on the ceilings, walls and niches of the sanctuary of La Chinita.

In the same vein, President Maduro approved and signed a 50-year loan agreement for the headquarters of the San Juan de Dios Pastoral Center in the state of Zulia. It is a pastoral, social, educational, religious, cultural and tourist center -a complex- which will be located in the old headquarters of INAVI in Maracaibo that was vandalized. The intention is to place popular canteens for the elderly, schools for children (bagpipes) and the Museum of the Blessed Virgin, where their cloaks and goldsmithery can be displayed.
