This Thursday, 30th, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that he was informed in real time that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) destroyed two clandestine runways in the state of Zulia, as part of the fight against paramilitary gangs led by the Colombian extreme right

He specified that this action was reported by the commander of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

“We are guarding the border from all these drug trafficking gangs,” he stressed.

He also commented on the actions of “an important group of fighters (FANB) in the Caura River defending our river and nature and 90 more fighters in San Fernando de Atabapo”.

He also stated that he is constantly informed of the development of all military operations carried out by the FANB, for the country's internal security, in the face of the actions of groups that generate violence and against criminal gangs.

FANB always in combat and in direct connection, besides being the commander in chief of the Armed Forces, I am united by a deep spiritual connection,” he emphasized.
