The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that his government made more than 700 calls for dialogue and understanding, however, this approach could not be achieved because it was an extremist and colonized opposition.

“We have already seen the concentrated evil, the revanchism, the desire for revenge, the anti-homeland spirit or sell the country, and their dependence on imperialism because they are not in charge or independent, and if they have anything, it is that they kneel down because they are sepoys, it is an extremist and colonized opposition,” the President reiterated.

The statements were made during a meeting with the more than 250 deputies of the National Assembly's Homeland Bloc, prior to its installation this Friday.

The head of state asserted that despite not having a nationalist opposition force, “Venezuelan society today has a direction, it has consensus, it has a model, it has a vision on which we must persevere to find our own path, to walk on our own feet, to think with our own head and to build with our own vision.”
