Head of State: Direct democracy merges popular power with political power

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the inspection of the construction of a retaining wall, in the municipality of San Joaquín, Carabobo state, praised the mechanisms for exercising democracy and bringing solutions to the problems of the country's communities.

“For you to see, direct democracy does more than representative bourgeois democracy, because direct democracy merges two powers into one, such as Popular Power and Political Power,” said the Head of State.

During his visit to the Los Tacarigua Sur Commune, the National President reiterated that the political power that manages State resources must be articulated with popular power.
