The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Delcy Rodríguez, delivered this Tuesday a new Special Task Unit for Emergencies
and Tactical Supplies “Grand Marshal of Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre”, in the state of Aragua.
The objective of this Unit is to provide the Bolivarian
National Armed Forces (FANB) with its own identity and specialized command
dedicated to permanent training on humanitarian assistance and logistical deployment in critical scenarios.
During its creation, the immediate deployment of recently graduated military
personnel to the collapsed areas of La Guaira was ordered to
assist the victims in health centers, affected infrastructures
and temporary camps, following the earthquakes recorded in the country on June 24.
This force, born of Venezuelan solidarity as a direct
response to the difficult moments faced after the earthquakes, highlights
the work of young rescuers, doctors, students and volunteers who
worked empirically and tirelessly in the rubble of the catastrophe.
