During the broadcast of the 36th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed his complaint against the campaign against Venezuelan migrants, which seeks to tarnish the compatriots who left as a result of the media bombing and the economic consequences of the sanctions and the blockade.

“Be alert with that campaign, because it's part of the campaign because it's a presidential election year (...) and in the end try to stain me. They will not return,” he warned, while pointing to American and European media that they are responsible for this campaign against Venezuelan migration.

“It's a campaign led by CNN in Spanish and CNN in general, the Associated Press agency and all those media, including a Nazi media outlet in Germany, Spanish DW, saying that all crimes committed in the world are committed by Venezuelans,” he said.

He emphasized that what Venezuelan migrants abroad “do is work, work and work” and rejected statements such as that of the far-right and anti-Venezuelan senator Marco Rubio who said “that the Aragua Train is committing crimes all over the United States.”

He noted that in the face of extreme working conditions abroad, many migrants are returning to the country. “Welcome, this is your land, this is your homeland, we are going to build it together,” he said.
