Head of State commemorates 260 years since the founding of Ciudad Bolívar

Through the social network X, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, commemorates 260 years of the Angostura Foundation, now known as Ciudad Bolívar.
“It is 260 years since the founding of Angostura, today Ciudad Bolívar, the eternal “Traveler of the River”, that of the famous speech of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, that of streets and landscapes full of beauty, natural wealth and stories to tell, live and progress, a city of entrepreneurial people with talent, will and abilities, who fight with strength, honoring their historical heritage, culture and traditions”, wrote the Head of State on the social network.
Let us remember that Angostura was named in 1818, by Simón Bolívar, the provisional capital of the Republic and that is where the Liberator gave the famous “Angostura Speech”, on February 15, 1819, in which he renounced the absolute powers that had been granted to him and gave his vision of what the new republic that was beginning should be like.
