This Monday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the increase of more than 70% in tax collection by the Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT)

During the 44th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, the head of state assured that the country is moving towards tax justice in the midst of multiple attacks by imperialism against the national oil industry.

“The perverse Venezuelan oligarchy, with its perverse puppets and its perverse last names, everyone knows who I'm talking about, they asked for new sanctions to be imposed on oil. That happened on April 18, with much fanfare, they announced it and partially made us lose the 2 billion dollars that were going to come in those days, they knew what they were doing, they hit the income, with the objective of affecting the necessary announcements of benefits for workers and workers on May 1, they are perverse, calculating, they are dirty,” the President denounced.

He stressed that, then, the Bolivarian Government did engineering “and fortunately SENIAT has raised revenues by more than 70%, as I asked them on January 10, in the first quarter and with the increase in income there is sustained economic growth, which says that we are collecting more, which says that there is more tax awareness, which says that we are moving towards tax justice.”

He indicated that with these resources he has been able to make use of “to provide benefits to workers and to continue on the path of recovering the comprehensive minimum income and the full income of workers.”
