Head of State: Capitalism in 150 years reversed the natural balances of Planet Earth

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that harmony with nature has been structurally reversed by capitalism and voracious imperialism, which “in 150 years have reversed the natural balances of Planet Earth”.

“The powerful of the world are waiting for their wealth, instead of dedicating that effort to reversing the self-destructive system that capitalism imposed and that contaminated seas, lakes, rivers, destroyed the earth and the balance of the climate,” he stressed at the Caricuao Zoological Park in Caracas, during the activation of the 6th Transformation: Ecosocialism, Science and Technology.

In that sense, he pointed out that in this scenario “for this reason, it is necessary to change the system to save human life. This was reported by Commander Hugo Chávez.”

He reiterated that in 150 years capitalism overheated Planet Earth, “the polar areas are melting and it is said that it reached 1.5 degrees Celsius, which was estimated as a risk, according to experts.”

“That's why it's important to set ourselves as a central human objective, to rescue Commander Hugo Chávez's Fifth Historical Line, to change the system to save human life,” he said.
