The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the ceremony of receiving the symbolic remains of Cristóbal Mendoza, assured that “Bolívar and Cristóbal Mendoza were the forerunners of anti-oligarchic currents in Venezuela”.

The reflection of the Head of State is related to the story of the hero of the Fatherland, Cristóbal Mendoza, whose remains arrived this Sunday at the National Pantheon, and his deep relationship with the Father of the Fatherland.

During his speech, he ordered “to collect all the history, all the speeches, all the letters written with passion and wisdom, the humanist, of an authentic patriot, of an anti-imperialist; an authentic anti-slavery and anti-colonialist, of an authentic republican” to create a book that “is present in high schools and communities”.
