The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed this Wednesday that despite the adversities that the people have faced in this year 2026, the country is heading towards its full rebirth.

During her speech at the high-level segment of the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the president noted that, in 2026, “Venezuela has experienced two great and painful tests in its life as a nation. One derived from the strangulation of their domestic political life and the heightened confrontation with the United States of America. Another one coming from the fierceness of nature, the double earthquake of July 24,” he explained.

In this regard, he emphasized that, “despite these strong blows of life, as the poet César Vallejo would say, for Venezuelans, today Venezuela is Reborn”, which “sums up the attitude of our people, who have assumed in the face of these events the transformation of a political relationship based on dialogue, negotiation and diplomacy”.
