The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appointed Jorge Márquez as the godfather of the city of Caracas. This was reported from the social network X, by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.

The senior official stated that "Pdte. @NicolasMaduro has appointed Jorge Márquez as the godfather of the city of Caracas. With the 1x10 system of Good Governance, we continue to make progress to meet the needs of the people and guarantee social welfare in the communities.”

Earlier this week, the Head of State made changes to the Executive Cabinet and appointed Jorge Márquez as the new Vice President of Public Services and Public Works and Minister of Electricity, who served as minister of the Office of the President.
