Tiburones de La Guaira representative from Venezuela beat Tigres del Licey from the Dominican Republic 3-1 in their first game in the Miami 2024 Caribbean Series.

A solid opening by Cuban Miguel Romero made it possible to keep the fighting game of the Quisqueyans at bay.

The Sharks opened the scoring in the third inning, thanks to singles by Ramón Flores and Leonardo Reginatto, a ball touch by Ehire Adrianza and an unstoppable by Alexi Amarista.

In the sixth inning, Flores appeared again and with an unbeatable to push Wilson Ramos home and make the score 2-0.
