The Venezuelan Technical Director, Rafael Dudamel, will seek to embroider the first star of Atlético Bucaramanga, after winning his way to the final of the Colombian Open Tournament, after defeating Deportivo Pereira 3-1, on the last day of Group A of the home runs.
The winning goals were scored by: Argentinian Fabián “Chino'"Sambueza in the 11th minute, J hon Córdoba in 71' and Daniel Mosquera in 83'.
Dudamel will seek his second title after becoming champion in
2021 with Deportivo Cali.
This will be the second final that Bucaramanga has played after
27 years, in which it fell to América de Cali.
Speaking to the media, Dudamel thanked Bucaramanga fans for their support throughout the tournament.
“A
lot of things happen in my mind, one must be able to filter those emotions, understand that we have
taken a very important step to achieve our great goal, we are climbing the
penultimate rung and we are getting closer to being able to achieve glory,
” said the Venezuelan coach.
He also said that it is an extraordinary team, players,
coaching staff, managers and most importantly, “the number 12 that never
left us, that when we lost in Barranquilla, he could have
lowered his arms and today he once again filled his stadium, his house and believed in his
team, I never tire of saying thank you”.
