This Monday, the Palestinian movement Hamas expressed its rejection of the Israeli offensive operation in the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, and warned that “it will not be a picnic” for the country's Defense Forces.

Through its Telegram account, the armed group said: “We affirm that any military operation in Rafah will not be a picnic for the occupying fascist army and that our courageous resistance, led by the Al Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas), is fully prepared to defend our people, defeat this enemy and frustrate its plans and objectives.”

The movement also denounced the recent actions of the Israeli Army, which in the early hours of Monday urged residents to evacuate to a humanitarian area. Tel Aviv released flyers stating which neighborhoods it is “dangerous” to stay in.

Hamas called on humanitarian organizations to continue helping displaced civilians in Rafah despite Israeli requests.
