Habitability traffic light is implemented to evaluate structures in Carabobo

Authorities carry out inspections in Valencia and the coastal axis under the parameters of the “habitability traffic light”. This practical methodology, supported by FUNVISIS, registered few homes at risk during evaluations in the region.

They also reported that this is a primary inspection to later work together with the Government on the application of label protocols. So far, the team has carried out 380 inspections in the state, including the Carabobeño coastline.

The operation of this traffic light is divided into three levels:

Green: Secure structure with access allowed.

Yellow: Access restricted due to partial damage.

Red: Access totally prohibited due to a high risk of collapse.

The state of Carabobo has an evaluation commission, composed of engineers and structural pathologists, responsible for validating the red cards issued in the primary evaluation.

Through Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), they reported that, to guarantee the diagnosis, they provide specialized training workshops to state professionals. Currently, more than 100 architects and engineers are deployed in the territory to carry out these inspections and ensure the integrity of the buildings.
