Guyanese activist highlights how Venezuela helped his country's development (+video)

Through a video that circulates on social networks, the Guyanese activist, Glen Lall, highlighted how Venezuela has helped the development of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in energy and food matters.

“So good were those people with us that when we were starving for food, hungry for electricity, Venezuela came to our rescue, Venezuela was our best friend,” said Lall, referring to the fact that our country sold oil to Guyana without paying interest, with the objective of contributing to the development of his nation.

He also questioned those who today in Guyana are instigating to attack Venezuela. “What happened now? Who put things in their heads?” , he questioned.

In addition, he warned that today the real invaders in his country are the transnational oil companies. “I don't have to say their names, look around and see who is stealing from Guyana in each sector, and then turn around and tell us 'that we are here to help you, that we recover you, that we are giving you the best treatment in human history', when it is the worst since God created the world or art,” he said.

Let us remember that thanks to Commander Hugo Chávez's initiative with PetroCaribe, countries in the region benefited from energy policies that made it possible to reduce existing asymmetries in the region, diversify the energy matrix of member countries, eliminate the intermediation of transnational corporations and minimize operating costs,

Thus, through this mechanism of integration and cooperation, Venezuela extended its hands to Guyana to cooperate in the energy development of its country.
