After a series of rehabilitation and conditioning, rescue and modernization works carried out by the Venezuelan Corporation of Guiana (CVG), together with its supervised companies and the National Government, the Guayana de San Félix Park in the state of Bolívar now has a combination of technology, areas for recreation, sports and culture.

It is a historic space that was modernized and was inaugurated with the participation of the president of the CVG, Héctor Silva; the Executive Vice President, Santiago Infante; the governor of the state of Bolivar, Ángel Marcano; the mayor of the Caroní municipality, Tito Oviedo; and the president of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, Genesis Garvett.

According to a press release from the CVG, Guayana Park, which houses the foundation stone of Ciudad Guayana, underwent significant improvements, including the construction of a new main entrance, restoration of malocas, roads and historic monuments.

Installation of three new interactive fountains with water and light games, in addition to the existing ones, and renovation of the central monolith that displays the logos of the CVG's subsidiary companies. In addition, administrative offices, bathrooms and the canteen were refurbished, and a room was set up for events. The park now includes an outdoor gym, an exercise area for people with disabilities and a children's playground with 10 attractions.

Among the new features, six boxes with the message “Donate and adopt a book” stand out, aimed at promoting reading. Free Wi-Fi was also enabled in all areas of the park and 17 monuments referring to the CVG and its protected industries were restored. One of the most emblematic attractions is the renovated “weeping wall”, which reflects the National Tricolor, symbolizing union and patriotic pride.
