• The guarimbas of the year 2017 began on March 31 and lasted 137 days, until August 12 of that year, spreading throughout Venezuela with a tragic toll of 127 dead and 163 injured, mostly Chavista militants, police officers or members of the
• Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) who were the subject of racist cruelty by opposition gangs or snipers hired to sow dead people in the street and promote a civil war.
• Among the victims killed by the hate crimes of the Creole opposition are:

1. On May 5, Gerardo José Barrera (38 years old), an associate officer of the regional police of the state of Carabobo, died when he was shot by several guarimberos during the riots in San Joaquín.
2. On May 4th, Armando Cañizales was assassinated in Las Mercedes. A metal sphere was extracted from his neck, one of those used in bearing systems (rolinera), which indicates that the demonstrators used an artisanal firearm.
3. May 03: Minister Reverol reported that Juan Bautista López Manjares, president of the Federation of University Centers of the Antonio Anzoátegui Territorial University, was shot dead at gunpoint while participating in a student assembly.
4. Among the visible faces that called for these bloody episodes, requested the armed intervention of foreign forces, called for economic sanctions, encouraged, financed days of blockades of streets and highways, fires and looting of public and private property, and preschool attacks are: Leopoldo López, María Corina Machado, Henrique Capriles R., Antonio Ledezma and Julio Borges.
