• Genesis Cristina Carmona Tovar (22 years old) was the fifth victim in the first week of that fascist day called “La Salida”, organized by Leopoldo López, María Corina Machado and Antonio Ledezma, among others.
• Carmona Tovar was shot in the back on February 18, 2014, when she was at a demonstration on Cedeño Avenue in Valencia, Carabobo state.
• In the afternoon of that day, the marketing student and model was at a demonstration, accompanied by a group of people in the vicinity of that avenue, in order to move to the Plaza de Toros Monumental.
• At that time, she was hit by a bullet in the head and was taken to the Guerra Méndez Clinical Center, where she died in the intensive care unit on February 19, due to the impact of a firearm to the head.
• Ballistic tests indicated that his death was caused by a gunshot coming from the place where the opposition was demonstrating.
• On August 21, 2014, after an investigation carried out by the Public Ministry (MP), the economics student at the University of Carabobo, Juan José Masa Seijas (24), was ordered to be brought to trial as the material author of the model's death.
• The preliminary hearing was held in the 36th Control Court, which admitted the accusation of the prosecutors and ordered the trial of Masa Seijas, granting a precautionary measure to be brought before that instance every 15 days.
• Finally, after coordinated efforts and expertise between the MP and the Technical Judicial Police Corps (CICPC), Masa Seijas was arrested on April 1, 2014, in front of his place of residence in Valencia, by virtue of a detention order granted by the court in the case.
