The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, led a mobilization this Wednesday, May 15, in the town of Camaguán, in the state of Guárico, where the people marched in support of President Nicolás Maduro and against illegal U.S. sanctions.

“Camaguán de Los Esteros y los Amores! Camaguán del Pueblo victorious and rebellious, heir to the glory of the centaur heroes of the plain!” , said Rodríguez, who said that “Camaguán is a demonstration of how Venezuelans and Venezuelans grow up in the face of difficulties, because they attacked us, assaulted us and subjected us to the most brutal blockade this land has known in 200 years.”

“They attacked the welfare state that Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro amassed as leaders to return to this people that was forgotten for 200 years what had been taken from them (...) Camaguán is a town of women and men whose past governments turned their backs on it and only dedicated themselves to kneeling and accepting the designs of the masters of the north,” he said.

In his words, Jorge Rodríguez questioned those present: “Are you going to accept that the North American empire comes to decide about your lives and future? At the same time, he warned them that “this is their plan and here they are going to meet a decent people”.
