A group of 82 courageous people decided to take the course of fighting for the freedom of Cuba, they began a journey on November 25, 1956 from the Tuxpan River, Mexico, to reach the Antillean country.

Under the orders of Commander Fidel Castro, they began the march from the yacht Granma, passing through the strong winds of the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, until disembarking in Cuban lands on December 2 of that same year to begin the end of the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship.

This memorable date for Cubans represents the beginning of their Revolution, and who are still fighting against the North American empire today.
