Turkish private companies have agreed to install productive plants and infrastructures on the central Venezuelan coast, to produce products in the textile, food, cement, construction, education and real estate sectors, as part of the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), announced this Saturday, May 4, the governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán.

Terán, who is in Türkiye as part of the mission entrusted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the businessmen of the company Sayinlar, one of the producers of sunflower, soybean and olive oils, with exports to more than 60 countries, will for the first time set up a headquarters outside the country and will do so in La Guaira.

In his account on the social network X, he said that “with joy we announce that we are ready to start the installation of the first industrial project, specifically in the food sector, within our Special Economic Zone, which is in addition to two more projects that we are implementing”.

He pointed out that with regard to vegetable oil, an agreement was established with the Guaireña private company and the Turkish private company, to transfer this plant, technology and productive capacity and from there to supply it to Venezuela, but also to markets throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

“This is a long process, it is not a 100-meter race or a marathon, but we are doing it with great responsibility, with great seriousness, as guided and envisioned by our great leader President Maduro within the framework of his strategy to develop the post-tenentist economy,” he explained.

He also highlighted the agreements with the Sanko Holding group, which has been founded in Türkiye for 120 years and today generates 400 million dollars annually in exports for the Turkish economy.

“The good news continues for Venezuela and Türkiye! In this last day of work from this sister nation, we have once again held a working meeting with Halis and Ali Can, who are ready to install infrastructures on our Central Coast,” he said.

He said that these agreements are the result of the memorandums of understanding signed within the framework of the Turkish Exporters Fair, whose advances accelerate the technical work of teams from both nations.

Terán also personally attended to the efforts of the Gaziantep Exporters Association, where he answered concerns and questions regarding the Special Economic Zone of La Guaira.

“As directed by President Nicolás Maduro, we are continuing to take the first steps to strengthen relations with sister nations based on the trust given by the flag of Peace Diplomacy raised by Venezuela,” he said.
