The Governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, assured that the video recorded by a group of young boys promoting a campaign against carnivals in the region saying that going was a niche, is not just about gaining a little fame on social networks.
“This is a well-planned campaign, directed by the media laboratories of the fascist right that it hurts that our people have the right to walk, to walk, to have fun with the family, to have some well-deserved days off,” said Terán during his participation in the radio program Sin Truco Ni Maña hosted by the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón and the deputy Tania Díaz.
Terán said that those who planned that campaign are the same people who were upset when President Nicolás Maduro said that La Guaira kicks Miami, United States, referring to how beautiful the state, the city, its beaches, its rivers, is.
He also emphasized that La Guaira is no longer just a national destination, “we have been the busiest destination on vacation for seven years”. In addition, it is now being experienced for the first time receiving foreign visitors.
“Last year we received more than 4800 international tourists in La Guaira with a link with the Ministry of Tourism, who take them and take a tour of the Paseo Macuto, the different beaches, the historic center of the city,” he added.
The Governor asserted that La Guaira has become, thanks to the efforts of the Bolivarian Government, Commander Hugo Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro, a beautiful and touristic state, because it has recovered a lot.
He recalled that the Bolivarian Revolution found La Guaira in the middle of a landslide, completely destroyed. Some people even told Commander Chávez that he had to finish evicting the territory and decree a cemetery and he refused that idea.
