The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, led this Sunday the beginning of Christmas in the coastal entity as a family, in peace and prayer from the Government House, the nation's cultural heritage.
“Today, the first of November, we begin the journey of spiritual preparation for the nativity, so that the child God may be reborn in the hearts of Guaireños, of all Guaireñas, of all Venezuelans,” Terán said in statements for Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He highlighted the traditions of this time and the unity of the People, “increasing our faith in Christ, in order to prepare our hearts for what Christmas truly means, which is the birth of Jesus of Nazareth”.
He invited Guaireños and Guaireñas “to strengthen the values of union, of solidarity, but above all of love. A love that is being translated into concrete events at this time. A love that allows us to move away from differences and find ourselves in the fraternal embrace of the family, of each neighbor, of each neighbor, in our works of charity, of love for our neighbor,” he said.
“The invitation is to all Guaireña families, to all Venezuelan families to strengthen that national unity, to strengthen our traditions, our culture, but above all that we can dedicate this Christmas to the boys and girls of the country, who are the loving reason,” he urged.
