The General Staff of Public Services of the state of Monagas, led by the governor of the entity, Ernesto Luna, held a working meeting with the Deputy Ministers of Public Works, Domiciano Graterol and of Electrical Services, José Luis Betancourt, to evaluate plans to optimize public services, emphasizing the strengthening of the electricity system in coordination with the communal government.

During the meeting, framed in the Venezuela Renace Plan, led by the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, Deputy Minister Betancourt specified that “this year 1300 megawatts of power will enter the country's national electricity grid.”

He explained that of this figure, 750 will enter the center of the country, “in addition, 300 will be distributed to Zulia and 600 to the Central Plant, all within a period of no more than two weeks, which will substantially decrease the distribution of loads at the national level.”

He also stressed the importance of territorial organization in publicizing the plan that will be carried out to articulate electrical and communal circuits, depending on the fact that each person knows what their electrical network is and when it is their turn to manage the load.

For his part, Governor Ernesto Luna explained the realities of the Monagas state and expressed his willingness to collaborate in the face of the current situation in the electricity sector in Venezuela.

“In Monagas, there is full and absolute willingness to deal with this situation that the country is experiencing, as we have done,” he said.

The mayors of Monagua who attended the working day emphasized working together with the different sectors to accompany communities in saving energy and providing comprehensive attention to their needs.
