The governor of the state of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez, reported that in the entity “almost two thousand educational institutions have been restructured and 400 are receiving maintenance”.
This was stated during a presidential day held in Petare in connection with the rehabilitation of the spaces of the Mariano Picón Salas National Educational Unit.
Rodríguez highlighted the importance of recovering educational institutions in the country to improve the quality of the education provided. “These are important and historic days. We appreciate the work carried out by the Bolivarian Government in conjunction with the regional government and the popular power organized through the BRICOMILES,” he said.
For her part,
Marisol Buitriago, director of this school, thanked the President and the governor for making this dream a reality. “Mariano Picón Salas has been reborn (...) This is an achievement of the communities,” he added.The BRICOMILES were created in 2022, and are made up of
volunteers from the communities, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces
(FANB) and the People's Power. Its work focuses on the recovery and
maintenance of public spaces, emergency care and the
provision of social services.
